Christmas Cheese Ball
Y'all know I'm a big fan of doctoring up cake mix for cakes (my top 6 recipes here!), but there are so many other great ways to use cake mixes.
For example, these cake mix cookies. I call them Butter Crisp Cookies and they are delish! And that's not all...
In addition to using cake mix creatively, I wanted to make a sweet cheese ball that would work as a dessert or an appetizer. After a few trials, I ended up with this sweet white chocolate chip cheese ball recipe.

How to Make a Dessert Cheeseball
Once you have everything on hand, this dessert cheeseball is super easy to put together!
- Put the softened cream cheese, cake mix, butter, chocolate chips, powdered sugar, and vanilla into a large mixing bowl.
- Use an electric mixer to mix the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
- Then roll into a ball shape. The cheese ball mixture will be sticky. If you have time, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it chill for 30 minutes
- In a bowl big enough to hold the cheeseball, add about 1 inch of red sparkling sugar and drop your cheeseball in.
- Roll cheese ball over and over, pressing into the sugar until the entire cheeseball is covered in sugar. Or pour it over the top and roll... however seems most fun to you!
- Place in the middle of a plate and surround with vanilla wafers.
- Sprinkle the finished cream cheese chocolate chip ball with white sugar.
- Serve and enjoy!
TIP: If you don't have red and/or white sparkling sugar, you could also decorate the outside of the Cookie Dough Cheeseball with M&M's (bonus for Christmas one) or some other Christmasy sprinkles! Get creative and have fun!

You could make a chocolate chip cookie dough dip (cheeseball) by substituting brown sugar for white sugar and semisweet chocolate chips for the white chips. So you have a recipe for chocolate chip cheese ball too!
