It seems like everybody is trying to rush into fall and I'm over here still making ice cream 🙂 But with Labor Day coming up fast and possibly your last chance to celebrate with summery desserts, I thought now would be a great time to share this Homemade OREO Cookies and Cream Ice Cream with you!
Skip to the bottom for the full recipe and an exclusive deal on a Bosch Mixer Bundle that includes the Ice Cream Maker attachment!!
When I recently shared the HOT Bosch deal, the lovely people over at Bosch reached out to thank me and asked if there were any Bosch attachments that I'd like to try. Since I only had the basic Bosch mixer, I told them I'd love to try the Ice Cream Maker attachment.
We are an ice-cream loving family and being able to make it is extra fun. As soon as it came, I decided I needed to try it out! Ya'll. I love this attachment...
I've already told you how much I love my Bosch here, and now I love it even more!! Let me tell you all about this ice cream.
Homemade OREO Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
Here's what you'll need:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 20 OREO Cookies, crushed
- Ice & Ice Cream Salt for the mixer
It's so super easy to make! First, put the Ice Cream Maker attachment bowl into your Bosch bowl. Then whisk all of the ingredients together in a bowl except the OREOs, then pour it into ice cream maker bowl.
Next you'll pour the ice cream mixture into the ice cream bowl, and put that bowl into the plastic Bosch Mixer bowl. Place the cover on top and lock it into place. Then add cubed ice and ice cream salt around the bowl.
Turn it on and allow it to freeze for 20-30 (25 was perfect for me). I did stop it once and add more ice/salt about halfway through. When it's frozen, pour it into a mixing bowl and stir in the crushed OREOs.
You can enjoy it immediately as a soft-serve, or freeze it for about an hour for a more traditional ice cream. I poured ours into a plastic freezer-safe bowl and let it set up, then we all enjoyed a scoop or two!
We enjoyed ours in a bowl but you could also serve it on waffle cones or sugar cones!
I can tell you already that being able to make this at home in half an hour is going to be a problem. The kids are already talking about how we can make it every day.
By the way - if after watching me make buttercream here (without the sugar cloud), and seeing this amazing ice cream recipe, you decide you'd like to try the Bosch... I've got an exclusive deal for you!
This is your last chance to get the incredible Summer Essentials Package from Bosch that includes the Ice Cream Maker Attachment for only $404! That's 20% off and saves you over $100!! The bundles also includes Cake Paddles, Cookie Paddles and a Bowl Scraper!

This is sooo good. I don't usually even like this flavor ice cream at the store. This one tastes so fresh. Really good.

Thanks Stefanie!

Do you know approximately how many servings this makes? I am making it tomorrow with my kindergarten class -- I need it to serve 16.

Oh no - I'm so sorry I missed your comment. It makes 1 1/2 quarts so probably 10-12 servings.
